Thinglink in Education: Plant Life Cycle

The Thinglink app is very educational and is a great way to create lesson plans, activities, and has fun projects ideas for students. I think the app is hard to navigate back once you have a project going. I wanted to start over and go to my home screen and it wouldn’t let me exit out of my current project. I find it much easier and efficient to use it on the web browser. I wish there was also a way to upload my own photos onto one of the links. There probably is a way but I have yet to discover how! I definitely see myself using Thinglink in my future classroom. When I create a lesson, everything my students need to know will be created on a Thinglink so they can access it easily. I love how you can incorporate videos so the students can watch and learn what ever is being taught. You can also incorporate text to explain further instruction so the kids will never be lost. Adding pictures, links, and videos is highly effective to kids can learn in multiple ways. It is very interactive and I think students would have a lot of fun using it and creating projects. Kids love technology and exploring on the internet so I think this is a great way to integrate technology and learn!

The Thinglink app is free and easily accessible through the web or through the app. Here is a tutorial I found that helped me use Thinglink! I also found a school website that used Thinglink to create an interactive map of the school. It would be a great idea to show a presentation on Thinglink of different areas in your classroom on the first day of school so the kids know where everything is!
